As I made my way through Central Park yesterday, it occurred to me that I still had my camera in my jacket pocket. Never one to pass up a good photo taking opportunity, and enjoying the romance that is Central Park in the snow, I snapped a few photos during my walk. These were the results.

The Year 2010
New York, NY
Don't let it fool you. Look deep into its apathy - it's lethargy - and you'll see a soft malaise. The year 2010 was a placeholder, as if waiting for a director to insert a 365 day effects shot that never came. A local station watching the humming express train speed past in a blur of metal and light. Nothing happened in 2010. Well, nothing really happened to me. I waited, I expected, but the culmination of the year left me with a giant wimper of an "eh..."

So when looking back on the glorious year that wasn't, I attempted to extract facts out of it. Something to look back on and hope they add up to something. Anything to make some sort of meaning out of this subtly evil year. Here it goes.
