Ciao 2008!

New York, NY

The first post of the new year is something I'll always cherish. They're always full of hope and excitement. Then, of course, life takes hold and delivers something altogether different. I hesitate to even say this, but there's no way 2009 can be worse than 2008, right? Right? Of course, this isn't stopping me from building a bomb shelter in my backyard and storing canned goods beneath my bed.

The last day of the year went exactly as expected. I was in a bus accident en route to Washington, DC. (Don't worry, no one was seriously hurt) Though it was followed up by some excellent food, several drinks, a warm fire, and great friends. With that, I bid 2008 a great farewell with some final photos.

(I almost uploaded pictures from New Year's, but then thought better of it. I was surrounded by doctors, lawyers, bankers, and CIA agents and thought certain photos may not go over well with their bosses. Hence, you'll have to imagine the sort of tomfoolery that went around.)
