Non-Creative
New York, NY
I'm busy at work and feeling uncreative, so here are a bunch of interesting links for you to check out during your day. Enjoy!
- An amazing video from NASA that features this year's entire crop of hurricanes in the Atlantic. This movie covers from June to October (from Arlene to Wilma.)
- Join Cupcake Man in his adventures through Candy Kingdom! And can anyone really blame him for singing... out of pure bliss? (Don't worry, there's conflict too.) All of this and more is in Fluorescent Hill's animated "Try Telling That to My Baby". So sweet...
- These animatronic statues will "pee" your SMS into the pool. Wow
- Mark Plonsky considers himself a curious, self-taught, amateur, macro photographer. He's combined a relatively inexpensive digital camera and some clever Photoshop techniques to take some downright disturbing photos of bugs - up close and personal.
- Amazing sand sculpture by Larry Nelson. Be sure to take a walk in his Sculpture Garden.
- I decided that if I looked up and saw clouds like this I would prepare for "War of the Worlds." Those are Mammatus Clouds by the way, named for their sack-like resemblance to udders.
- Earth From Above features spectacular arial photography by Yann Arthus-Bertrand. The main link takes you to the France section but be sure to check out the other countries with the pop-up menu in the upper left. Many of the photos have higher resolution versions offered as wallpaper.
Don't gloss over the text associated with each photo - it's well worth reading. I explored the site for hours and even learned a few things.
- The Art of Science 2005 Online Exhibition is an amazing display of the beauty in nature.
